USC is currently creating virtual humans who can pick up on body language like eye contact and gestures. Studies have shown people can feel more comfortable talking about sensitive topics with a virtual human than a real person. WTF?! We’re busy working on virtual humans when we no longer know how to relate to actual humans?
Eye contact is allusive since technology has thwarted face to face communication. People are more physically spiritually and emotionally isolated and distant than ever. No wonder there are multitude disasters on a daily basis, the world is disintegrating due to a global disconnect.
