Sleepless in Studio City w/ DrDebzz Dishing on "Cultivating Compassion" feat. Vocalist Susan Marder

DrDebzz Opening Shpiel: Is it possible to teach empathy and thus, cure the entitlement epidemic? DrDebzz offers various ways to exercise and energize your compassion muscles, thereby saving the planet from annihilation!
USC is currently creating virtual humans who can pick up on body language like eye contact and gestures. Studies have shown people can feel more comfortable talking about sensitive topics with a virtual human than a real person. WTF?! We’re busy working on virtual humans when we no longer know how to relate to actual humans?
Eye contact is allusive since technology has thwarted face to face communication. People are more physically spiritually and emotionally isolated and distant than ever. No wonder there are multitude disasters on a daily basis, the world is disintegrating due to a global disconnect.
The universe is exploding and screaming to get our attention that it’s urgent we come together once again as a society and relearn how to treat each other with honor, dignity, kindness, and respect.
Guest Caller Janie - My family members don't consider my feelings. There's been dissension for a long time. I’ve suggested therapy but they won’t go.
Write in question from Kevin in Evanston, Illinois: I haven’t had any luck on dating sites. Are there any other options?
Featured artist is superb singer Susan Marder performing an original tune, Princess, with Rich Ruttenberg, keys; Dean Parks, guitar; Cary Grant, trumpet; Dan Higgins, tenor sax; Bill Reichenbach, trombone; Bernie Dresel, drums; and Windy Wagner, background vocals.
Susan shares the meaning of music in her life: offers advice for aspiring artists: and reveals the secret to a thriving relationship with her husband of 27 years, the accomplished pianist/composer/arranger, Rich Ruttenberg.

Weekly WOW(Words of Wisdom): “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is an attribute of the strong” Mahatma Gandhi
"If you want to be happy, practice compassion. If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.” Dalai Lama
Esteem builders/Confidence boosters: I have the right to be here, to exist. I deserve to live a successful, happy life. I deserve joy. I am lovable and deserve love. I am enough. My feelings are okay with me. I am worthwhile and important. I deserve comfort and compassion.
