Sleepless in Studio City DrDebzz Dishing on "Love One Another" feat. maestro Dave Tull

DrDebzz Opening Shpiel
Were you raised in a family where resoluteness, pertinacity, staunchness were promoted and valued? Did you feel loved, secure, significant? If these three inner needs weren't met, it's time to
be your own cheerleader.
What's preventing you from following your coveted dreams and desires? What have you done today to nurture your spiritual garden? You deserve to thrive, not merely survive.
Consider practicing 'phileo' (brotherly) love with all those you encounter. Instead of focusing on what someone can do for you, contemplate what you can do for them.
We're all on this journey together-you never know why, when, where, or from whom, a consciousness raising opportunity will appear.
Since we're all one & the same, your pain is my pain, your suffering is my suffering, your joy is my joy, your success is my success.
Practice developing and expanding kindness and compassion skills through 'metta' (which means friendliness and good will in Sanskrit) and 'tonglen' (which in Tibetan Buddhism aims to reduce selfishness and purify karma by giving and receiving).
The great Tantra Master Osho said, "There's nothing wrong with anybody except they didn't get enough love." Let's dedicate ourselves to rectifying that universal dilemma.
Per Mother Theresa, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love."

Guest Caller
Mike from Los Angeles:  I'm choosing not to be in a relationship right now and instead take time to focus on "finding myself." I don't want to keep getting into relationships for the wrong reasons.

From Art in Denver:  "I'm really attracted to a coworker but I'm afraid to approach her because what if it doesn't turn out well and we still have to see each other every day?"

I can say "yes" to what I want and "no" to
what I don't want.  The choice is mine.
I am free from the fear, anger, or moodiness of others.
I can detach with love.
I can be close to another person without losing myself.
I am a valuable human being and I deserve to be

DrDebzz Opening Shpiel
Tune into love, compassion, courage, kindness, infinite reality, higher intelligence, and revitalize your mind body and spirit with this simple meditation. You don't have to spend hours in the lotus position, at an ashram, or
on a mountaintop in India.
Standing or sitting right where you are, lift both arms straight up towards the sky or the ceiling, stretch
as tall as you can with your fingers spread wide open.
Close your eyes, inhale deeply, and feel the light the eternal source, fall right through you from head to toe, enveloping you with cozy cuddly warmth and affection. Sense the oneness of humanity
penetrate every pore muscle bone organ vein.
Hold your breath for a moment, slowly exhale, feel the energy the pulse the power, flow freely from one chakra to the next... starting at the crown, passing to the third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral, and
root chakra at the end of your spine.
This breath of fresh air from heaven is a gift you can bequeath yourself any time any day any where any how and it doesn't cost a dime.

Sleepless in Studio City DrDebzz "Just Breathe" feat. Melissa Manchester

DrDebzz Opening Shpiel
We start life with a breath and can return to that time of innocence, omnipotence, authenticity, purity, and veracity by focusing on our breath.
You don't have to join an ashram, climb to the top of a mountain,
or take up Kundalini yoga. All you have to do is give yourself
permission to pause. It's easy breezy.

Delineate a few moments to be still before you hustle and bustle. Inhale slowly and deeply to the count of five, hold for the count of five, exhale slowly and completely for the count of five. Repeat five times.

Practice on a daily basis. Make it a ritual like brushing your teeth. This mini meditation will help reduce and manage stress by releasing the body's neurotransmitters of well-being, e.g. dopamine, serotonin,
GAMA (gamma aminobutyric acid) and endorphins.

Be mindful of how you treat yourself, others, the environment, all animals and plants. Keep a check on your gratitude and compassion meter. Plant and nurture your spiritual garden so you can blossom from the inside out.

Guest Caller

for my son's sake or kick him by the wayside?"

Sleepless in Studio City DrDebzz Dishing on "Receiving is Giving" feat. Joan Baez

DrDebzz Opening Shpiel: Ask and you shall receive. Seek and ye shall find. Build it and they will come. Receiving can be painful and scary. However, if you take that leap of faith, angels in human form will appear to carry you when the going gets rough.
You don’t have to wait until you're experiencing a death or divorce. There doesn’t have to be a natural disaster or catastophe before you solicit help from a friend relative or neighbor. Consider asking for a hug when you're sad or scared, an ear to listen to you when you're lonely.
The greatest gift you can bequeath someone you care about is to request their assistance, albeit physically, emotionally, or spiritually. If you want to make a loved one feel special and honored, admit you need them!
It’s not the survival of the fittest that counts, but rather, the survival of all of us. You may not be able to save the planet from disintegration caused by hate and separation, but you can create world peace and oneness in your own backyard.
Instead of drinking the poison and expecting the other person to die, contemplate drinking love potion #9 and spreading love wherever you go. Those with the most wrath and ire, i.e. bullies abusers controllers narcissists manipulators, crave the most affection, since they exude extreme self loathing.
Although reaching them up close and personal isn't in the cards, you can embrace them from a distance. Wish them joy, wish them peace, wish them happiness, and above all wish them freedom from suffering.
Write in Question from Rhonda in New Jersey: My boyfriend is boring goes to sleep, early gets up early, while I have a lot of energy. After living with him for only a month I’m losing interest.
Guest Caller Steven from LA shares a success story about online dating and what he’s learned about letting go of anger and resentments. He discusses the benefits of biofeedback in discovering reactivity levels by recognizing changes in body chemistry.
Weekly WOWs (Words of Wisdom) on Friendship:
Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light. (Helen Keller)
Friends are the siblings God never gave us. (Mencius)
A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself. (Jim Morrison)
A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. (Walter Winchell)
Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud (Maya Angelou) and you’ll feel like a million bucks!
Confidence Boosters/Esteem Builders:
I appreciate all that I do. I am good enough just as I am. I speak up for myself. I ask for what I want. I claim my power.
I experience love where ever I go. Loving people fill my life, and I find myself easily expressing love to others (Louise Hay)
Featured artist is legendary singer/songwriter/activist Joan Baez performing the title track from her "Diamonds & Rust” album released in 1975. She wrote the thought provoking lyrics about her relationship with Bob Dylan. The tune was a top 40 hit on the US pop singles chart and is regarded as one of Baez's best compositions. Baez just released her first new studio album in ten years, called "Whistle Down The Wind."
Six decades after becoming a regular on the coffee house scene that was emerging around Club 47 in Cambridge, MA., Baez has recently embarked on her Fare Thee Well European and North American tour. She revealed that “2018 will be my last year of formal extended touring.”
With her 2017 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction topping off a lifetime of awards and honors for her recordings and human rights achievements around the globe, the symmetry of Joan’s decision reverberates. “I’m looking forward to being on the road with a beautiful new album about which I am truly proud,” she said. “I welcome the opportunity to share this new music as well as longtime favorites with my audiences around the world.” Catch the one and only Joan Baez at UCLA's Royce Hall on November 10th.
